S. Bazargan-Hejazi

Shahrzad Bazargan-Hejazi is a Professor of Medical Sociology in the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU), and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Her current positions include Chair of Medical Student Research; Research Director in Psychiatry Residency Training Program, and Director of Faculty Development and Assessment, at CDU. She has been the lead NIH investigator and co-investigator in several projects related to the misuse of alcohol in patients who present in emergency departments. I am currently a member of CDU Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Curriculum Development team. Also, as a member of the Global Burden of Disease collaborator network where she has participated in the production, analysis, and improvement of the Global Burden of Disease.
